Demolishing pre-stressed concrete gym hall of Coatbridge Community Centre

On this contract Goodfellow Contractors were to fully demolish a community centre within a conservation area. Working with stringent noise and dust controls as well as movement restrictions due to the proximity of a school and nursing home as an adjoining neighbour.
In order to complete this contract we had to first cut down by hand the full perimeter, sufficient to allow the machine demolition process and all the material for crushing as well as removing the unsuitable material to our recycling centre and reusing the crushed material onsite as backfill. |
